The Weekend....

Well, it's been a good weekend so far! I have been on call all weekend so that part has not been fun. Friday night after gettting off work, Jeff brought Jake over to stay with me and he took Jesse to ball practice. Me and Jake just hung out here at the house and my grandparents come over to visit. Well, Jake put in to go home with them and I could come pick him up. I went by and got Jake something to eat at Taco Bell and then took it to him at my grandmothers. We visited a little while with them and ate so blue bell ice cream, yummy! We left and I took Jake by my moms to spend the night with her since I was on call. Saturday morning I got called in several times and stayed pretty busy till after lunch. I went by and picked up Jake and we came home and played and watched a movie. Jesse was palying in a ball tournament in Cottonwood this weekend and I did not get to go since I was on call. Jake of course had rather be with his mommy than anything else, so he decided to hang out with me. Of course, the one time I don't get to go to the tournament they do great! I talked to Jeff after lunch and they had not lost a game and he told me they would be playing in the championship game at 4. I called everybody trying to get somebody to cover for me until I could go and come back, but of course nobody would! So, I just had to hang out here and wait for an update!! The ended up coming in second place in the tournament. They came by to see me and get Jake when they got to town and Jesse was exhausted! So, now it's Sunday the day we should all be in God's house. I got called in early this morning and ended up missing church again. It's a good thing your church attendance will not get you to heaven, because I'm not doing so good lately. I can only try to do better next week! Of course I have some pictures from yesterday, thanks to Mike Patel!

Hump Day...

Finally, it's Hump Day!! It has been the longest week. Vacation, beach, fun, where are you????? It seems like all I do is work and wait for the weekend and then if you have to work like I do this weekend well..... what's there to look forward too?? Yes, it's been a very long week. My job is just about to get the best of me! Yes, I am very thankful to have one, but my goodness what planet did some of these people come from? I work with some very different people! I can be in the best mood in the morning and then walk in the door to the hospital and oh my!! Some people are just never happy! Anyway, enough about me! My boys are having a fun filled summer, without me! I'm doing what I do best working!!! We do have some fun things planned together. We have a weekend beach trip and next weekend we will be going to watch the Biscuits play. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!! My boys have gone to VBS at the Opp Church of Christ this week and have really enjoyed it! They also, have enjoyed Kidz Camp at Opp Elementary and they are finishing up swimming lessons this week. So, it's been a very busy week! I hope everybody is having a good week!

Happy Fathers Day!

First, I would like to say Happy Father's Day to my daddy and all the fathers out there! I hope everyone had a great father's day and hopefully got to spend it with their dad. I was able to have supper with my dad, which is always nice!

It has been a busy, but good weekend! We are still playing ball so we played ball Saturday. It was so so HOT!!! We played ball at 8 and 11 on Saturday and it was awful HOT! We lost the 11 o'clock game so we came home after that. Jake took a nap and we just hung out at the house. Saturday night we went to the movies and saw Toy Story 3. Great movie! If you haven't seen it, you should make plans to see it. Sunday of course we overslept! Sleep has been few lately, so any chance we get to sleep in we do!!! I woke up early with a headache and was gonna get a little bit more sleep before getting dressed for church and the next thing I knew it was 10:30. So, we didn't make it! We got dressed and I took the boys to see their daddy and came back home to get a nap. A much needed nap, before going to have supper with my dad. We had a great supper and watched some golf! Now I'm home and getting ready for the week!! It's gonna be another busy one, I thought we would slow down this summer, but it's been the opposite!! We've got ball practice this week and another week of swimming lessons! I hope everyone has a good week!

Finally Friday.......

We have made it to Friday!!! Yeah!!! We have a busy weekend planned again! Jesse will be playing ball tommorrow night in Dothan and go into Saturday. I believe its a tournament so we will have to lose two games. Also, it's Father's day weekend! It has been a busy week. I did not get home until Tuesday afternoon and the boys also started swimming lessons this week. So, we have swimming lessons everyday! Of course, since I have to work everyday I do not get to take them :( Thankfully Jeff's mom is able to take them. We also, have had ball practice this week! I'm so thankful for Jeff's mom and dad, they are so helpful! We could not make it without them!

It has been a great afternoon. I actually got off work at a normal time today and was home by 5:00. I came home and cleaned house. I was able to get all my laundry done, folded and put up!! I'm on call tonight so hopefully it will be a quiet night for me! This is my last weekend off before I'm on call again next weekend! Of course, I was able to get a picture of me and Jake on the lawn mower this afternoon!

Sweet Home Alabama....

I haven't blogged in several days, my life has been crazy! We finished up VBS last Thursday and ended up with a great turnout. I believe we had over a hundred each night. Friday was good and I went to my aunts house in Enterprise Friday night to swim. I ended up spending the night and stayed in the pool ALL day Saturday. Can you say lobster??? Why don't we use sunscreen??? It was such a relaxing day! I hope to do it again soon! Saturday night I drove to Montgomery got a place to stay because I had a 6:00 am flight. I made it to the airport and had two great flights! I got to Indiana around lunch time and then had to go through the process of renting a rental car. Ok this was so crazy!! The lady told me where to go and I went to the specific area and there was a car there with a key in it! So, I saw this guy and asked him what to do and he told me to just get in!!! So, I did! Of course it was fun finding my way around Indiannapolis to my hotel, but I did it!! I had a great meeting on Monday and when we got done I headed back to the airport!! Of course, I got lost!!! I saw a sign that said Chicago a hundred and something miles. Yes, thats Chicago, Illinois!!!! I knew then I was going the wrong way!!! I turned around and finally made it back to the airport with fifteen minutes left to go through security and board. I was literally running, but I made it!!! I made it only to learn that there was a storm moving in and we were gonna try to beat the storm out!!! Well, once we got on the plane were were told there was a maintenance problem and we had to unload the plane. After waiting several minutes they told us we would definately be going to Charlotte at some point, but more than likely we would miss our connecting flights. I didn't care I just wanted to get closer to Alabama!!!!! Well we finally made it to Charlotte only to learn that ALL flights out of Charlotte had been cancelled. So, we had to go stand in line to rearrange our flights. They did give us a motel room for the night, so that was nice. I met this really nice lady named Jackie and we kinda hung together! It was nice having somebody to talk to. We took the shuttle to the hotel and ended up getting there after midnight! We got up early this morning and now I'm back at the airport waiting on a flgiht out to Sweet Home Alabama!!!! So, it's been an exciting few days, but I'm looking forward to getting back to Alabama!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy.....

WOW! I think busy has been an understatement!!!! Jesse has been at baseball camp this week, we've had vacation bible school, and we've been praticing ball. Bible school is so fun, but alot of work! I have to say I haven't done any work compared to what some people have done. I have been helping in crafts and it's been fun watching the kids color, cut, and paste different things. They are having so much fun! We have been having around a hundred kids a night!

I found out tonight that school will start back the first of August. Oh my, I can't believe it is gonna be so soon. I was thinking it was the end of August. Wow, summer is flying by!

Did I mention what all I've done today?? It all started at 12:30am when I got called in to work. I drove about half way to Andalusia and got turned around. They didn't need me anymore!!! Got back home got some sleep and then got woke up by Jake crying that he wanted his mommy. Isn't that sweet how when they are sick they always want there mommy. I remember those days! There's just something about a mother's love, especially when your sick and not feeling good! Okay, so what did you think I done? You guessed it! I went and got Jake and took him to Dr. Bhangs office at 8. We ended up getting out of there around 9:30am. I then had to go get meds filled and also took the time to go by the library and sign the boys up for the reading program in July. I had to drop Jake back off with his dad and then headed to work. Of course, I was late getting to work and when I got there I had patients waiting. Managed to help get caught up. After work I had to get the boys and head straight to the church. Poor Jake was not feeling good, but didn't think he could miss VBS! So, I took him, but he didn't last we ended up having to leave early! Everybody is now all snug in there beds!

Did I mention my other dilema this week???? I learned on Tuesday that my checking account had been hacked into. I had several payments that showed up that were not familiar. After calling the bank I learned the transactions were made in the early morning hours in the UK. So, I definately there was an issue. Of course, I had to close my account and now I have no check card or anything and will be flying to Indianna this weekend! Oh my! I'll explain more of that in another post! I need to get in the bed for another long day tommorrow, but first I have some pics from tonight!

Well, it's been a very busy week so far! We are having vacation bible school this week so that explains it!! It's so hard to get home and then to church by 5:30 and then we do not get out until 8:30. So, yes we have been off schedule and it just messes me up!! I'm helping with crafts this year. There are several of us and we are a crew!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! Of course, I have pictures to share!

Baseball...

Wow! I'm so tired. It's been a long, but great day! Let me first start by Friday night, it was also great!! There is nothing like eating at Howards, watching a movie, and then just chillin!! I finally got to watch the movie Dear John. Great movie!

We started off early this morning around 6am. The seven and eight year old boys traveling team played in a tournament in Geneva today. It's was great! I love having boys and playing sports. It will be even better next year. I will have two playing. I may rethink that this time next year!!! Jesse has done great this year in coach pitch and I am so thankful that he was given the opportunity to play on the traveling team. We were the Braves. Let me just add, we were the only team in the tournament that did not have a shirt on with our home town. The Opp girls were there and had on Opp shirts, but we had to be referred to as the "Braves". Yes, we got tons of questions about why we didn't have Opp shirts on. Nevertheless, we represented our home town proudly!

We played in the first game at 8am, yes that is in the A.M.! So, we were one of the first teams there. I do not think we were completely awake yet, because we didn't do so hot. Our coach that normally pitches for us was not there for our first game so we will just blame it on that! He did show up for our other games and we were much improved. We had to wait from 9 till we played again at 1:30. We had lots of fun under the shade tree and all the tents, remembering old times and realizing just how old we are getting! We had it together for our next game and pulled off a great win against Hartford I believe. We then got another break before Geneva at 3:30. Still, another good win. It was close and you know there is nothing worse than your child getting up to bat with two outs and the winning run on the base! Jesse had a GREAT hit and the winning run scored. It's so cute, because with all the excitement Jesse was a little confused as to what was going on!!! Let me add that doing this game it was pouring rain. We turned right around and played again and Headland managed to pull it off. It was a well fought game, but somebody had to lose.

I then took my boys and Wyatt to McDonalds to eat. They were starving and trust me they were! I could not buy them enough chicken nuggets!!! We then drove home with plans for Wyatt to spend the night with Jesse, but about Samson they decided they were tired and after fightin it fell asleep. They were so so tired!!

Wyatt ended up staying with his mom. I told them we could do it another night when they weren't so tired. Well, the boys are asleep now and I'm trying to wind down a little and what better way to do that then to blog!!!

We are not sure yet if we will be playing next week or not, due to vacation bible school this week at several of the churches. We hopefully will find something out on Tuesday at practice. If we play this week it will be in Slocomb and will be Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday if we win.

So, I just want to say way to go boys! Yall, done a great job and we are so proud of you. Yes, you know I have to post some pics!!!!

It's That Time Of Year Again.....

It's been a yuck week! I'll be glad when it's over! Am I wishing my life away or what?? For the last five days I have been on call and it is so nice not to be tonight. YEAH!!! That means that I can go to sleep tonight and sleep soundly, without interruptions!!! Most people were off Monday for the holiday, but I had to work:( I'm looking forward to the weekend, no call and Jesse has a baseball game in Geneva. It's gonna be a looooonnnnnnggggg summer! My boys are already bored! I probably should send them to daycare this summer, but who can afford that??? They will be staying with Jeff's mom two days a week and my cousin will be keeping them here at our house the other two days! On Fridays it's gonna be a toss up!!! Today was the first day with my cousin and they said they had fun! I got home from work around 5:30 and fixed supper. We then went to church and now we are back at home. The boys love going on Wednesday night. They love the music they do with Mrs. Linda Linton, she's the best!! Thanks Mrs. Linda for all your hard work! For the past few weeks they have been working on vacation bible school songs. It's amazing how quick the kids can learn those songs. Our vacation bible school will start this Sunday and go through next week. Our theme this year is "Hit The Trail". It is a cowboy theme. They have gotten it decorated so cute! I will be helping in crafts this year! Of course you know I will be sharing some pictures with you from the week!!! I have attached a few from tonight with them practicing the music!!! If you know any children interested in joining us next week it is from 5:45 till 8:45 at Babbie Baptist Church! We would love to have them join us!!!
