Hanging Out...

We have been just hanging out today! I'm on call this weekend so not much we can do! Yuck! Last night we went and ate at Howards, then came home and watched Avitar. It was an okay movie, definately not my favorite. I plan to watch Dear John sometime this weekend. I heard it was an awesome movie. I've just been cleaning and doing laundry today. That is definately not fun. My boys are WILD today! They have not been able to go outside today and have been inside ALL DAY! Oh my, Jake wanted to cut and paste with the glue and Jesse wanted to play school! I have attached some pictures of them from today. I hope to go to my dads tonight to a cookout. Yummy! First Grade

It's so hard to believe that this year has come to an end. My how time flies! It's seems like only yesterday Jesse was starting kindergarden and now he is getting ready to start second grade. My littly babies are growing up, quick! Jake will be starting kindergarden this coming year. No more daycare!!! Yippy!! I can not imagine watching my boys graduate from high school! I have heard several people today talking about their kids graduating from high school. It's both exciting and sad at the same time. I can only imagine! I have done so good with not "crying" with either one of mine, but let me tell you today was different! We went to Jesse's room to sign him out for the day after the awards program. All of his friends were telling him bye. Mrs. Mitchell, hugged him and said "have a good summer". It was like whoa...... I had big alligator tears and I told Jesse I thought I was gonna cry! He said "because I'll be starting second grade?" I just smiled and said "you will understand one day"! The awards program was good. Jesse got an award for all A's! Yeah Jesse!! Of course, I had to capture the moment today with some pictures!!

Movies

What a fun night at the movies!!! I decided since I have to work the weekend I would take the boys to see the new Shrek movie. So, we called and asked Hunter one of the boys friends if he wanted to go. Of course, who wouldn't? So, as soon as I got off work I went home, changed clothes and went to get the boys. We were pratically the only ones in the theater. Fun! I told the boys we should go more often during the week, because there was nobody there. The movie was good if you like Shrek. It was sweet! I have some pictures to share of the boys.

Another Weekend....

Well I had a great day on Saturday. I did get to go to the beach and it was some kind of nice! I did get some sun and had a great time!! Sunday me and Jake got up and went to church. Jesse spent the night with a friend and went to church with him. After church, I had a burst of energy I guess, because I cleaned all the closets and drawers out and it looks great now! The question is how long will it stay like that?? Just getting ready to start another week, yuck! Let me share something Jake said this weekend. You know kids they will say just about anything!! He said "reckon how God made the clouds?" Then he said "I know he mixed water and milk up and then poured it out and we have clouds!!" Is that cute or what?? Well, it's hard to believe June is around the corner! Jesse made the traveling baseball team. Yeah!! So, we will be traveling the month of June with the baseball team!! I'm excited, I love baseball!! I have posted some pictures of the beach. It was absolutely beautiful down there yesterday!

Another Week Gone...

Just wanted to blog some!! I think it is a stress reliever!!! I really do enjoy it. It's a great way to end your day! It seems like everything that can go wrong has went this week. It has been a very very busy week. I'm ready to slow down some! Tonight I had made plans, but they didn't work out. So, I enjoyed a night alone! I got off work early and came home and done some cleaning and laundry. Then I went to Andalusia and got a pedicure! I love getting a pedicure. It's wonderful! After that, I had to return some items to JCPenney's and shopped around a little. I went by and rented a movie "Valentines Day" and stopped and got me some chicken wings from Pizza Hut. They were great! Yummy!! I came home with plans to watch my movie, but have just been sitting here enjoying the quiet! I hope to go to the beach tommorrow and enjoy some sun. I'm on call next weekend so I'm sure there will be NOTHING exciting going on. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

BKK Graduation

WOW!! Time is flying by so fast! It seems like only yesterday I had Jake and now he is getting ready to start kindergarden. These week has been so so busy with all sorts of things. Jesse has been playing ball almost every night and tonight was Jakes graduation at BKK. Tonight seemed to be a little more sad to me than when Jesse graduated. I think mostly because this is it. The next time either one of them wears a cap and gown will probably be at their high school graduation. The graduation program was wonderful as always. Becky always does a great job with the kids. All the kids had a special part in the program. Believe it or not Jake actually did his part. He is a little shy in crowds so I was a little "iffy" about him doing it. After the program Becky of course had the slide show she always does. It will just bring tears to your eyes! Of course she played the song "Dont Blink" and how true it is. It seems like only yesterday! Then of course the kids came out in their cap and gowns awh how sweet it was! Of course, I took lots and lots of pics. So, I have a few to share with you!

Great Weekend...

What a great weekend! Friday night started off with a ballgame. After the ballgame me and Jake came home and took it easy, while Jesse and his grandaddy Rob stayed and watched some more ball. Jesse just can't seem to get enough!! Saturday we stayed home must of the day. I cleaned and worked outside. Saturday night Jesse stayed with a friend, we grilled out and then went over to my dad's at Gantt and went boat riding! It was a beautiful night for boat roading! Jake fell asleep on the way home. We got up Sunday with plans to go to the beach, but the rain messed us up!! So me and Jake went and met my dad and Janet in Niceville to eat at Ruby Tuesday's! After we ate Jake went home with them and I went on to Destin and enjoyed some ALONE time. Of course, I spent way to much money!! I always do! The boys go through there clothes and shoes so quick. I had to get them some summer clothes. Of course, I'm sure you know how it is I ended up buying for them instead of me!!! That's how it is when you have kids. God knew what he was doing when he gave me boys, because little girls clothes are so cute!!! That's pretty much my weekend in a nut shell! I hope everyone has a great week. It's gonna be a busy one for me, I have got something everynight.

Waiting on the weekend...

Is it Friday yet? Sometimes I think I'm wishing my life away! This week has been horrible. My birthday was yesterday, but it's just been a crazy week. Work has not been good and I have just been busy this week. I am looking forward to the weekend! Finally, a weekend I do not have to work! I'm on call tonight so I did not get home till late. I'm looking forward to Jesse's game on Friday at 5. After the game it's off somewhere I just don't know where!!! The boys love Mellow Mushroom so we might head to Enterprise to eat or we may go to a movie I don't know. We are gonna have some bonding time though!!! Saturday is going to be busy. Jesse has tryouts for the coach pitch traveling team. That will be Saturday afternoon so the day is pretty much tied up with that. Hopefully Saturday night will just be a night at home with the family resting! Of course there is church on Sunday and then it's back to work on Monday :( We really should have four day work weeks! We need an extra day in the weekend wouldn't that be nice??? Okay I'm off to bed and then it's back to work in the morning yuck! I hope everyone has a Happy Friday!

Where I Long To Be.....

Happy Monday! Hope everybody had a great Monday, mine was good. I have just been enjoying a very relaxing night at home. Me and the boys got home early and I cooked tacos for supper. Yummy! Jesse did his homework while I cooked. After supper, Jesse got in the tub and Jake had to watch some baseball on t.v. They love watching baseball it doesn't matter if it's the braves or who, as long as it's baseball they want to watch it!!! I watered my flowers, washed dishes, and did some laundry. Jake got in the tub and I was in there helping him, I called for Jesse but he didn't answer. I got Jake out of the tub and walked into the bedroom and Jesse was in the bed asleep. This was before 7:00!! He was so tired. He could not go to sleep last night for some reason. Okay, back to my title! I was looking back over some pictures from last year and found this one! Oh my, I would love to be at the beach for a week or two or maybe three!!! I love this weather we have been having, it has been beautiful! I went to the beach a couple of weeks ago and it was great! The water was so pretty! Close your eyes and imagine with me - sitting on the beach in a chair, book in your hand, toes in the sand, wind blowing you hair, not a worry in the world, and the sound of the waves crashing on shore..... You get the picture???

Another Weekend Come and Gone....

Well, another weekend has come and gone! It's back to work in the morning for most. If your like me you were on call ALL weekend and had to stay home :( I hope everybody had a good mother's day. My boys spend most of the weekend with my mom. My sister's kids were at my moms on Friday and Saturday. When they are here my boys do not want to leave them! So my mom had all four grandchildren on Friday and Friday night. On Saturday, she took all four of them swimming! Go Mom! I sure don't think I could do it!! Talking bout patience............ I spent most of the weekend alone just doing housework. Accept the times I did get called into work of course! Today, Sunday, was just an ordinary day. Me and the boys went to Andalusia after church. We went to Wal-mart and Hibbett Sports. We were looking for tennis shoes at Hibbetts, but no luck! My boys are starting to be picky!! Jesse only wants one kind and Jake thinks for some unknown reason that "Sketchers" will make him run so much faster than anybody else!!! LOL I took them to Sonic to eat, which is one of their favorites! Jesse got so upset at Wal-mart. The lady that checked us out asked them what did they get their mother for mother's day and they said nothing. She said that they could have at least made me a card. Well, Jesse took offense to that and as soon as we got back to Jeff's he started making me a card! The first one he did not like so he put it in the trash and started another. He got so upset making the other one, that he started crying and said he wanted it to be perfect. He said if I would take him back to town he would buy one with his own money! Too cute huh? I assured him the one he made was the best, but he didn't think so and would not stop crying. He said he just wanted it to be special. I have attached a picture to show you my perfect mother's day card!

Be Still and Know...

What a day it has been! The day started off great. I have a deal going with the kids that if they get up when I call them to in the mornings and get dressed on their own I will give them a dollar a day! I know your saying they should be doing that anyway, well they are not. Jesse is the hardest to wake up in the morning so this will be quiet an accomplishment for him. They both did great this morning and we were on time to BKK. Everything was going good I drove to work, for those that don't know I have to drive and hour to work everyday. I enjoy listening to my praise music in the mornings and talking to God. Well, this morning was good and by the time I got to work I was ready to face the day, so I thought! Isn't it just horrible when you walk into the workplace and it's like you ran right smack dab into the DEVIL himself. Well, that's what happened to me this morning and it happens alot of mornings for me lately. It is ok tho because I have found myself saying alot lately "if God is for me who can be against me". I made it through the day and of course the day got better as it went by. I listen to 90.9 radio station in my room at work it's a christian radio station out of Brewton, I believe. They play alot of contempory music. So, as the day ended and I headed out to my car just ready to get away from the day. I sat down turned the key in the ignition and the song playing was "Be still and know that I am God".... I was just like ok God is that you? I listened to my praise music on the way home and enjoyed my time with God. Why is it that we get so caught up in LIFE that we do not take or make time for him? We make time for everything else we do? You know we have a huge responsibilty as moms. Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday and I believe we as moms definitley deserve praise! We've got to have our life somewhat straight, in order to direct our children. Believe me they watch us daily and do not mind telling you when you've done wrong! How can we guide our children to live a christian life when we are not doing it ourself? Yes, I'm talking to myself too! It is my prayer that I will be in the very center of God's will for my life and nothing else. It is certainly NO fun when you out of his will. So, I just want to encourage all moms out there to remember your kids are watching you! Sorry I had to vent tonight! I'm on call tonight and I am just resting at home. Hope each of you have a great night and a great day tommorrow!

ZOO....

Today I was able to take off work and be a "mommy"! I went with Jake's class at Becky's to the zoo in Montgomery. You can look at the pictures and see how much fun we had. We left around 8 this morning and returned back to Opp around 3:30. We had three boys with us. They watched a movie on the way up, so that was nice. On the way home, my Jake fell asleep not far out of Montgomery! He was pooped out!! He told me after lunch that his legs were broke and he couldn't walk anymore! We had a great day today and now I must return back to work tommorrow! Yuck! I have posted some pictures for you to see. Check out the zebra, elephant, and of course I could not leave out the monkeys!

As the weekend comes to an end....

Well the weekend has ended and what a busy one it has been!! I guess there is no better way to end a weekend and start a new week than to be able to watch your son be baptized. This morning my little boy or I should say big boy was baptized at our church. We go to Babbie Baptist and we have such a wonderful church family. Jesse got saved several weeks ago and walked the aisle, but wanted to wait until he understood baptism before he did it. He decided he was ready and today was his day! In Matthew 19:14 " 14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." I am so happy for Jesse. Please pray for him as he begins his walk as a new christian. We had a nice quite afternoon and went to Carolina Baptist tonight to watch one of our friends little boy. They presented the musical "Down By The Creekbank". It was so cute! Isn't it great seeing small kids and teenagers serving the Lord? If only, we were like them in our service to the Lord! The musical brought back memories for me as a child. I was in the same musical at Southside Baptist in Opp when I was a small child. My boys could not believe it! I knew all the songs and it just amazed them! Well, the kids are all snuggled in their bed asleep and I justed wanted to share my day. Hope everybody has a good week! God is good, all the time!
